Rare & Highly Collectible Inaugural Model – The yellow gold 5070J-001 was produced only from 1998–2002 as the very first iteration of the reference, and remains one of the rarest metal/color combinations. Unusually Large Case for Its Time – Measuring 42mm, the case was strikingly oversized for late-1990s dress chronographs, yet retains elegance with its stepped bezel and slim profile. Prestigious Movement – Powered by the Caliber CH 27-70, based on the Lemania 2310 and extensively modified, finished, and decorated by Patek Philippe. This caliber was employed in just 10 Patek Philippe models. Includes Patek Philippe box and papers.

All the photos are of the actual watch for sale. The watch is in overall very good condition and presents beautifully with no obvious surface marks visible to the unaided eye. Prior service history is unknown. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please be advised that bands made of materials derived from endangered or otherwise protected species (i.e. alligator and crocodile) cannot be shipped outside the country of sale.
