How to read a luxury watch condition report
A practical guide to case, dial, movement, bracelet, box and papers terminology when comparing pre-owned watches.

Start with the exact watch
Match the brand, model and reference shown on the product page. A reference can identify a family of watches, while material, dial, bracelet and production details may distinguish the individual configuration. Treat any missing identifier as unknown rather than inferred.
Read condition by component
Review the case, bezel, crystal, dial, hands, crown, movement and bracelet separately. Descriptions such as polished, refinished, replacement or service part should be considered together with the photographs. Normal wear is not the same as damage, and photographs remain part of the condition record.
Understand box and papers
Box and papers describe accessories accompanying the watch; they do not by themselves prove condition, service history or current manufacturer warranty. Confirm exactly which documents, cards, receipts, service records and presentation items are listed for the individual piece.
Questions before checkout
Ask client services to clarify any material condition point, included accessory or service statement that is not explicit on the product page. Availability and final order details should be confirmed before payment.
