The Rolex Submariner Reference 1680 “White Sub” Mark 2 is a highly sought‑after vintage diver from the mid to late 1970s, most commonly encountered between 1975 and 1978. Following the celebrated “Red Submariner” era, Rolex transitioned the reference to all white dial printing, creating a distinct aesthetic phase within the 1680 lineage. The MK2 dial, identifiable by its open 6 depth rating, balanced serif typography, and cream toned tritium plots, represents one of the most collectible configurations of the white text generation, a variant prized for its period correct character, transitional significance and enduring vintage appeal.

The watch is in very good overall condition considering its age, the plexi glass and the pearl on the bezel has been replaced from the past servicing, signs of oxidation on the dial dual to aging, only visible under a strong loupe. The case and the bracelet have been polished slightly. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion.
